The Lavish Lifestyle Of Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks, a country music singer-songwriter who was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 7, 1962, is known professionally by his middle name. Born to Troyal Brooks and Colleen Carroll, Brooks has another sibling named Kelly, three half-brothers named Jim, Jerry and Mike, and a half-sister named Betsy. He was married from 1986-2001 to Sandy Mahl, with the couple having three daughters: Taylor, August and Allie. In 2013, his granddaughter Karalyn was born to August and her boyfriend, Chance Russell. Since 2005, Brooks has been married to fellow country singer, Trisha Yearwood.

In the mid-1980's, Brooks left Oklahoma for Nashville to purse a musical career, with his first album in 1989 starting his career on a high note with the follow-up album the following year continuing that success. In 1993, Brooks' album entitled, In Pieces, eventually sold 10 million albums, and the run continued for the remainder of the decade. By 2000, the family conflicts, in part, resulted in Brooks announcing his retirement, though he did release an album in late 2001.

That retirement remained in place for approximately four years, when he began live performances again, and a series of compilation albums were released though his new label, Pearl Records. From 2009-12, he performed as part of a residency in Las Vegas, and then began a world tour in 2014. It was in 2012 that Brooks was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, also having won two Grammy Awards.

Brooks is estimated to have a net worth of $150 million, having sold roughly 70 million albums during his career, numbers that make him the best selling artist in the past two decades. His net worth was severely adjusted as a result of his 2000 divorce, which resulted in Brooks paying his ex-wife an estimated $125 million.
