Cop Steals Air Jordans

How crazy is this? A veteran police sergeant in North Texas was arrested Tuesday and accused of stealing fancy new tennis shoes during a drug raid. Two officers involved in the raid reported what had happened, and the department’s Special Investigations Section searched Williams’ Arlington home on the following day. Investigators seized four pairs of shoes, including Air Jordans similar to the shoes missing in the drug raid.

Sgt. Antoine Williams, 37, a supervisor in the Fort Worth Police Department‘s narcotics unit, took the sneakers during a search of a suspected drug house in East Fort Worth on Oct. 16. The original drug raid quickly drew the attention of neighbors in the 4800 block of Richardson Street in Fort Worth.

Europe Under Attack

ISIS and Al-Qaeda have gained too much ground and power. They have now begun to strike various countries and still taking control of more areas around them. Now over 19,000 websites are in danger throughout France with various sleeper cells set up and operating their by the Islamic group.

The raid comes three days after WND exclusively reported there are at least 20 sleeper cells with a combined total of 120 to 180 jihadists ready to act in France, Germany and Belgium

Algeria's intelligence services passed information to several European countries indicating there are at least 20 sleeper cells. The ongoing terror threat appears to involve up to 20 sleeper cells of between 120 to 180 people ready to strike in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. The source said that European Union and Middle East intelligence agencies identified an "imminent threat" to Belgium, possibly also to the Netherlands.

Since June, the Islamic State has generated a great deal of publicity and a lot of concern among people who fear the group will attempt an attack in the United States or Europe. The issue here is not one of mere semantics: The misuse of the phrase “sleeper cell” blurs important distinctions and contributes to general confusion about the nature of the jihadist threat the United States is fighting. Precise language is needed for clear analysis and more effective defense and counterterrorism efforts.

A terror cell on the brink of carrying out an attack was the target of a raid Thursday that left two suspects dead, Belgian authorities said. A third suspect was injured and taken into custody in the operation at a building in the eastern city of Verviers, prosecutor's spokesman Thierry Werts told reporters.

A senior Belgian counterterrorism official told CNN that the alleged terror cell is believed to have received instructions from ISIS. Some members of the cell had traveled to Syria and met with ISIS, which plotted the attacks as retaliation for U.S.-led airstrikes in Syria and Iraq

Dog Fighting Raid

Authorities in west Georgia arrested 34 people and seized 27 vehicles, several guns and over $28,000 in cash in a Saturday night raid on an alleged dog-fighting operation in Meriwether County. Officers from several agencies, bolstered by helicopters from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and the state Department of Natural Resources, took part in the raid, which went down off Happy Hollow Drive.

When the helicopter pilots hit their target with spotlights, participants and spectators ran into the arms of waiting officers holding a perimeter around the event. Deputies found a large “fighting pit” and an emaciated, bleeding female pit bull terrier. That dog was taken into protective custody, along with another dog seized.

One of the vehicles confiscated was a large “Express Wings” catering truck that was set up to serve fried chicken and fish to spectators. Deputies also seized five guns, two generators and lighting equipment. One of those arrested was wanted by U.S. Marshals on a federal indictment accusing him of dog fighting.

Those arrested were of them local and some from as far away as Arkansas and Michigan, face various charges, including gambling, cruelty to animals, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, theft-by-receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit or promote dog fighting.

Atlantic City Mayor Raided By Feds

The mayor of Atlantic City made headlines last month when he was involved in a fight outside a casino that was captured on video. The mayor, Frank Gilliam, was not charged.

But Mr. Gilliam may be facing more serious trouble. Early Monday, federal officials raided his home, removing computer equipment and boxes in an operation that represents another setback for this struggling seaside city.

The mayor’s office declined to comment about what prompted the raid.

“We can tell you that the mayor’s office is open, and we are here to provide services to Atlantic City residents and to serve the administration in any way that we can,” said Christina Bevilacqua, the deputy chief of staff in the mayor’s office.

More Raids That Took Place

The F.B.I. operation is the latest chapter in what has been a tumultuous couple of months for Mr. Gilliam, a Democrat. The late-night brawl he was involved in took place outside the Golden Nugget casino in Atlantic City.

Police Seize $24 Million In Drugs

An accused brother-sister drug trafficking team is behind bars after Miami-Dade police seized at least $24 million in cash during a home raid. In what is being called the largest cash seizure in department history, detectives found bundles of $100 bills in heat-sealed bags stuffed into five-gallon orange buckets and hidden in a secret wall compartment of a Miami Lakes home, according to the Miami Herald.

Hernandez-Gonzalez — who is being held on more than $10 million bond, according to jail records — is now facing charges including money laundering, marijuana trafficking and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Gonzalez was held on $12,500 bail for conspiracy and drug-related charges.

The alleged pot peddler, who runs a Miami gardening store called The Blossom Experience, was targeted by police who believed he was involved in trafficking marijuana in Tennessee along with two other men. The store is believed to cater to the illegal marijuana-growing industry and was raided by police and federal agents Tuesday.

Authorities found marijuana, marijuana seeds and $180,000 cash in a safe. Next, police raided his cushy home and found the buckets of cash along with a Tec-9 with an extended clip. The DEA began investigating Hernandez-Gonzalez back in 2010, after he dished to a confidential informant about the secrets of drug trafficking.

Young Buck Possibly Facing Jail Time

G-Unit rapper, Young Buck, is set to appear in court on Thursday (May 5) to answer for a couple of parole violations he has incurred over the past several weeks.  Buck's parole officer was forced to come before a judge last Friday (April 29), in order to bring the judge up to speed on a moving violation the rapper was stopped for on Monday, April 25.  The terms of his release require that Buck immediately inform his P.O. whenever arrested or questioned by law enforcement; an action that his officer reports did not take place.  The Cashville Records head is expected to defend why the infractions should not consequently result in prison time.

The 35-year-old, born David Darnell Brown, may face a challenge, as the traffic fumble was his second offense in as many months.  A March 18th filing by the prosecution alleged that he was recorded making death threats via text message exchange with the fiance of his child's mother.  According to the report, Buck was responding to a perceived insult by the fiance, who supposedly challenged his integrity as a father for failing to make child support payments.  The messages have Buck threatening that he will 'slap the s*** out of' him, and demanding he give up his location so that he could go and 'f*** [him] up.'  Buck suspected at the time that the messages on the fiance's end might have been made in the presence or with the knowledge of a lawyer, telling his P.O. that at one point the man told him it was being read by the District Attorney.

A decision against the rapper on Thursday could land him back behind bars for as many as 14 months.

Young Buck has been on probation since October of 2013, when he was released after serving 18 months on gun charges stemming from a 2010 raid. He got himself into trouble when in 2014 he was first confronted with the repercussion of violating parole, as he was found to have lied to his P.O. about using fake urine during a drug test.  He would subsequently reach a plea deal ordering him to give 100 hours of community service, spend 30 days at a treatment center followed by a 90 day stint at a correction center, then comply with the 18 months of probation he has recently struggled to complete.

Cop Killed In Walgreens

A rookie Jersey City cop was killed in a cold-blooded ambush outside a Walgreens Pharmacy early Sunday before a brief standoff that also ended in the gunman’s death. Officer Melvin Santiago and his partner rolled up to the store to answer a robbery call at 4:09 a.m. when the gunman came out of nowhere and blasted Santiago in the head as he sat in the passenger seat.

Newspaper deliveryman Jean Belviso had just arrived at Walgreens when he spotted the suspect — wearing burgundy sweatpants and a baseball cap — walk out of the Walgreens and toward the police cruiser. Santiago was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The gun used to kill Santiago belonged to the store security guard, who had previously been attacked by the robber.

Santiago was the first cop killed in the line of duty in the city since July 2009. Detective Marc DiNardo was killed five years ago during a raid on an apartment searching for suspects in a robbery. Responding cops shot and killed the gunman, officials said. His body remained in the Walgreens parking lot for hours, about 20 feet in front of the entrance.

Mally Mall Pleads Guilty In Prostitution Case

Rapper/producer “Mally Mall” Rashid pleaded guilty Monday (Oct. 21) to operating a prostitution enterprise disguised as escort businesses, federal prosecutors and his defense attorneys said. Rashid, 44, faces prison time of at least one month, and up to 33 months when he is sentenced Jan. 21. His plea resolved a criminal case that became public following an FBI raid at his Las Vegas home in September 2014, U.S. Attorney Nicholas Trutanich and defense attorney David Chesnoff said.

Rashid won’t have to register as a sex offender, both sides said. He pleaded guilty to one charge of using an interstate facility to aid unlawful activity, Trutanich said in a statement. Rashid admitted that for more than a decade he operated escort businesses that “induced and enticed numerous women to engage in prostitution,” Trutanich said.

In some instances, prosecutors said Rashid’s credit card was used to pay airfare and other travel-related expenses for women he featured in advertisements for prostitution on paid websites such as Backpage and Eros.

“We think this is a just resolution,” said Chesnoff, speaking for his client and Atlanta-based attorney Steven Sadow. “We’re pleased this matter has been resolved, as the allegations date back many, many years.”

A California Bay Area native, Mall has worked with a variety of artists including Tyga, Justin Bieber, Usher and Sean Kingston. His 2013 collaboration with Tyga, “Molly,” reached No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Mall also was featured in the VH1 reality TV series Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. At the same time the FBI served warrants at his million-plus-dollar home southeast of the Las Vegas Strip, agents raided his business, Las Vegas Concierge VS1, just off the Strip.
