NoxBond is one of a kind. Even the name is unique and has layers of meaning. A long time ago, NoxBond started as Noxious. Noxious is defined as physically harmful to all living beings.

It got shortened to "Nox" over time , and when Nox went to Chicago to shoot a music video with D Gaines, who Complex magazine named "The Godfather of Drill" , he met Vincent Norment, D Gaines agent, who recommended "NoxBond" based on his persona being a combination of "deadly" and "sophisticated like James Bond".

What Roc Nation And The NFL Is Doing For Hadiya Pendleton

It's a good thing how Jay-Z is getting involved in our African American culture. It's time we slow down gun violence in our black communities. He is really using his voice to stand out behind his music while having the NFL to back him up.

Jay-Z's Team Roc and the NFL debuted a public service announcement that honors the life of Hadiya Pendleton, a young girl who was fatally shot in Chicago in 2013.

Hadiya Pendleton's family has continued to keep her legacy alive. The Chicago teen is the subject of Team Roc's latest PSA about putting an end to gun violence.

Pendleton is one of many stories of kids being killed by gun violence from all over the world. Pendleton was gunned down as she was spending time with friends at the city's Harsh Park.

The video titled "Hadiya's Promise" is narrated by her mother Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton, who shared her daughter's hopes and dreams as well as her own efforts at social justice in her young years.

Chicago Not Even Safe For Kids

A three-year old boy was shot in the head on a Thursday (March 16) afternoon in the Southside of Chicago. Police say that the shooting was an accident.

DNAinfo reports that the toddler was shot in the Englewood neighborhood on the 6200 block of South Aberdeen street. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for treatment where, as of the time of this writing, he is in critical condition.

Officers were reportedly called to the scene to find that the boy was lying with a gunshot wound to the head after responding to a call that a person was shot. He is the third child who was shot in Chicago today.

The shootings come at a time where vital resources to help children who have been traumatized by gun violence have seen their resources cut and about a month after the shootings of 2-year-old Lavontay White, 11-year-old Takiya Holmes, and 12-year-old Kanari Gentry.

No further information regarding the shooting has been reported or released to the public as of press time.

The track’s aspirational lyrics: “Tryna touch a million in one week, floor that I live on is one three, wear crocodiles like DunDee,” are underscored by its atmospheric soundscape, perfectly illustrated in the Dog Food camp-directed video. “Comfy” is the follow up to “Cardio,” the lead single to Phor’s upcoming project titled, Self Love, coming this summer. His latest project, Cake, was a 13-song collection released to memorialize the passing of his cousin with the tribute track “Truly Missed”. In 2017, Phor released Butterfly, which delivered his biggest hit to-date, “Chi-Town.” An ode to the city that raised him, the song gained momentum at mid-west radio with well over 2M views on the Azae-directed visuals and culminated in a remix from Chicago’s south side legend, BumpJ, Twista and Lil Durk.
