I can't believe it myself! R. Kelly was charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual abuse involving multiple victims in a Chicago court Friday after decades of rumors and allegations that the R&B star was abusing women and underage girls.

Kelly has denied allegations of sexual misconduct involving women and underage girls for decades. Neither Kelly’s legal representative nor the Cook County prosecutor's office immediately responded to Fox News’ request for comment on the charges.

Many of his most popular songs paid tribute to Chicago; he was best known as a chronicler of street life, building narratives of tense nights on the streets and his desire to escape the gangster's mentality.

Chance The Rapper Gives Back

On Monday, Chicago's own Chance the Rapper announced that he would be donating $1 million to his city's public school system.

At a press conference at Wescott Elementary School, Chance expressed his disappointment in Illinois governor Bruce Rauner: "While I am disappointed in Governor Rauner, that will not stop me from doing all I can to support Chicago's most valuable resource: its children."

What Roc Nation And The NFL Is Doing For Hadiya Pendleton

It's a good thing how Jay-Z is getting involved in our African American culture. It's time we slow down gun violence in our black communities. He is really using his voice to stand out behind his music while having the NFL to back him up.

Jay-Z's Team Roc and the NFL debuted a public service announcement that honors the life of Hadiya Pendleton, a young girl who was fatally shot in Chicago in 2013.

Hadiya Pendleton's family has continued to keep her legacy alive. The Chicago teen is the subject of Team Roc's latest PSA about putting an end to gun violence.

Pendleton is one of many stories of kids being killed by gun violence from all over the world. Pendleton was gunned down as she was spending time with friends at the city's Harsh Park.

The video titled "Hadiya's Promise" is narrated by her mother Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton, who shared her daughter's hopes and dreams as well as her own efforts at social justice in her young years.

Chicago Not Even Safe For Kids

A three-year old boy was shot in the head on a Thursday (March 16) afternoon in the Southside of Chicago. Police say that the shooting was an accident.

DNAinfo reports that the toddler was shot in the Englewood neighborhood on the 6200 block of South Aberdeen street. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for treatment where, as of the time of this writing, he is in critical condition.

Officers were reportedly called to the scene to find that the boy was lying with a gunshot wound to the head after responding to a call that a person was shot. He is the third child who was shot in Chicago today.

The shootings come at a time where vital resources to help children who have been traumatized by gun violence have seen their resources cut and about a month after the shootings of 2-year-old Lavontay White, 11-year-old Takiya Holmes, and 12-year-old Kanari Gentry.

No further information regarding the shooting has been reported or released to the public as of press time.

13 Killed Over Labor Day Weekend

Check This Out! Chicago is mourning the murder of over a dozen of its citizens, following a surge of Labor Day violence that tolled it as the city's deadliest holiday weekend thus far in 2016.  In the aftermath of such carnage, so does the nation reel, as the first of the weekend's 13 deaths brought Chicago's homicide total to surpass 500 of the year; further cementing the mid-west city as the crisis point of gun violence in America.

As Sunday transitioned over, there was optimism that the weekend would end with relatively good news. Considering the data, Memorial Day weekend had seen 69 shot with six slain, while 66 were shot and five killed on the Fourth of July.  Heading into Monday the number of those wounded by gunfire had summed less than half of any of those two totals.  But between the hours of 6 a.m. on Monday and 3 a.m. on Tuesday, a spike of 31 shootings would bring the total to 65 shot.

While news of the holiday's grim outcome is disheartening, it doesn't come as a surprise, as Chicago is coming out of it's deadliest month in twenty years, reaching 90 homicides for the first time since June of 1996.  Since January 1, more than 2,930 people have been shot in the city.  The Chi's homicide toll now stands at 512 on the year, eclipsing last years total of 491, and amounting to greater than the total number of homicides in New York and Los Angeles combined.

Woman Who Bailed R. Kelly Out of Jail Receives Bomb Threat

On Feb. 25, R. Kelly’s bail was reportedly posted by fan, “friend” and restaurant owner, Valencia P. Love, according to the Chicago Sun Times. In addition to her restaurant, Love On The Blu, news also surfaced reporting Love is affiliated with Lord and Child Day Care in Chicago. Though she recently denied that the $100,000 posted on Kelly’s behalf was her own money, Love wouldn’t divulge the source of the funds beyond that.

The latest round of reports regarding the accused entertainer suggests that even while he’s out on bail, associating with him may be a liability. Love’s support of R. Kelly became extra messy when the aforementioned daycare reported multiple calls of a bomb threat.

According to TMZ, the Chicago Police Department confirmed an explosive device was not found at the center and no one was injured. The reported threat is currently under investigation, with no suspects in custody.
