Man Does Doughnuts on Airport Before Being Arrested

Now this is how you go down in a bang. With the right move, this could plunged the young man into stardom if he know it or not.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested after ramming his car through a security fence at Pensacola International Airport in Florida, speeding down an active runway at around 100 mph, and then doing doughnuts with his vehicle.

Carlson drove his Ford Mustang from the runway to a grassy area, where he did doughnuts, before speeding into an open hangar, where he continued doing doughnuts until police arrived.

Wood said that no air traffic was affected due to Carlson’s stunt, as no airlines were on the runway at the time.

Carlson was charged with criminal mischief and trespassing, though more charges may be added, Fox 10 reports. Authorities do not believe the man was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. They have also ruled out terrorism as a motive.

Denzel Washington Set To Recieve Award

Two-time Golden Globe Award-winner—and honorary sensational meme—Denzel Washington will be honored with the 2016 Cecil B. DeMille Award at the “73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards” on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

Lorenzo Soria, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), made the announcement of Denzel Washington’s honor, saying, “Washington’s long and storied career is earmarked by his countless roles in front and behind the camera. It is the HFPA’s privilege to honor his contributions to the entertainment industry with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.”

The Cecil B. DeMille Award is given annually to a talented individual who has made an incredible impact on the world of entertainment. Previous recipients include George Clooney (2015), Woody Allen (2014), Jodie Foster (2013), Morgan Freeman, (2012), Robert De Niro (2011), Martin Scorsese (2010), Steven Spielberg (2009), Warren Beatty (2007), Anthony Hopkins (2006), Robin Williams (2005), Michael Douglas (2004), Gene Hackman (2003), Harrison Ford (2002), Al Pacino (2001), and Barbra Streisand (2000). Denzel is also the recipient of two Academy Awards, two Emmy nominations, one Tony Award, one BAFTA Award, one NAACP Image Award, and a Grammy Award for his narration of the legend of “John Henry.”

Ford announced the development of MAX Motor Dreams, a crib that simulates the motion, engine noise and even street lighting of those nighttime drives, right from the comfort of your own home.

“After many years of talking to mums and dads, we know that the parents of newborns are often desperate for just one good night’s sleep,” said MAX Motor Dreams designer Alejandro Lopes Bravo in a press release. “But while a quick drive in the family car can work wonders in getting baby off to sleep, the poor old parents still have to be awake and alert at the wheel.”

After collaborating with Ford, Filson is back with another partnership, this time, featuring Popeye the Sailor Man graphics on select apparel and merchandise. The capsule is comprised of short-sleeve T-shirts, pullover hoodies, wool caps, pin sets and pint glass sets.

The heavy-duty cotton hoodie is adorned with a portrait of Popeye and his smoke pipe alongside C.C. Filson Co. text on the front and back portions. The wool cap also features an embroidered patch of the scrappy sailor on the crown. The cap is made of weather-resistant wool and is equipped with a three-inch pre-curved brim and adjustable leather backstops with bespoke brass buckles.

Sienna Miller Drunk

Rumors are that +Sienna Miller was drunk at the +Oscars. Sienna Miller did not take it slow on Oscars weekend. First, Star spotted a drunken Sienna devouring a stack of cucumber slices at the bar of the Weinstein party. The next night, Sienna clumsily cozied up to boyfriend Tom Sturridge at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash.

I’ve read most of the tabloids this week, and the Oscars gossip has been pretty dull. Miranda Kerr bitched about the porto-potty situation and Chelsea Handler cut in front of a line. Taylor Swift cuddled up to Jamie King at the VF party and Khloe Kardashian was in a terrible mood at the Elton John party. Jennifer Lawrence was carrying a Slim Jim and a protein bar in her clutch because of course she was. And that’s about it. 

Except that on Monday, when I was covering the party photos, I mentioned that the Sienna Miller photos were making me laugh because Sienna had that old-school look in her eye – part boredom, part liquor, part famewhore. It just seemed like she regretted partying with her boyfriend Tom Sturridge and she wished she could be a single girl, mixing it up with all the men. Star Magazine says she was pretty hammered all weekend too:

Do African American College Students Graduate With More Debt?

The report concluded that HBCU students borrow money at greater rates and amounts than the average college student.  Therefore, it is more difficult for them to repay their student loans post-graduation.  25 percent of HBCU graduates borrowed more than $40,000, four times more than non-HBCU grads.

Cheryl Smith, United Negro College Fund senior VP for public policy and government affairs, said, "Recently, some analysts have questioned whether the student debt crisis is real. For HBCU students, who increasingly are on the hook for financing college costs, the crisis is ever so real."

According to a new study by the United Negro College Fund, students who graduate from historically black colleges and universities do so with far more debt than their counterparts in non-HBCUs.

The study, titled, "Fewer Resources, More Debt: Loan Debt Burdens Students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities," used data from undergraduates who attended four-year public and private HBCUs.
