Why Is Eminem Scared To Diss Drake?

Even though Eminem has released the most talked about album of the year, Em has owned up to most of his shots fired. Although he is denying dissing Drake on the Joyner Lucas-assisted track "Lucky You."

Eminem ruffled a lot of feathers with his Kamikaze album, where he doesn't hold any punches, dissing several rappers and media personalities.

Of course, anytime a ghostwriter is brought up in rap songs, the assumption is Drake is the target. According to Em, that is not the case here. In the fourth part of his interview with Sway Colloway, Eminem opened up about the speculation.

"Drake is going to always be in my good graces, because he did something for one of my daughters that I will never forget and he will always be in my graces for that," Em noted. "And I like Drake. What I'm telling you with these lines is, I don't know what's real and what's not, at this point. Because you hear shit about this rapper, that rapper, whatever. I'm telling you that I don't do it. Never have and never will. If I ever need a ghostwriter, I need to just fucking put the mic down."

Reason Drake And Rihanna Broke Up

Trending now is the new rumors of why +Drake Graham and +Rihanna broke up. A source told Hollywood Life that the “Stay” singer gave Drake an ultimatum to win her back. The couple split because Rihanna felt like the “Trophies” rapper was neglecting her; Drake reportedly thought Rihanna was being too “needy.”

She doesn’t know how to grasp the situation, meaning him wanting to hustle and focus on work. She gets it but still thinks he should be able to make time for her no matter what. She’s a woman and she wants to be put on a pedestal.

Hollywood Life claims that Rihanna had gotten used to Drake showering her with affection at the beginning of their relationship and was upset when things started to change. A source recently told US Weekly that a huge fight between the rapper and Rihanna is what led to the couple calling it quits. However, the source does believe there’s a chance for them to work things out and get back together.

Drake Named Best Male Pop Artist 2018

A pop star, a rap star, just what category does we suppose to fit Drake in? Drake is king of Billboard’s 2018 year-end charts, as the superstar leads the year-end Top Artists ranking.

The 32-year-old rapper-singer is the first rap act to be the overall top artist of the year since 2005 and just the third rap artist to lead the category.

Billboard’s year-end music recaps are based on chart performance on Billboard’s charts dated Dec. 2, 2017, to Nov. 17, 2018. The year-end Top Artists category ranks the best-performing acts of the year based on activity on the Billboard 200 albums tally and the Billboard Hot 100 songs list, as well as streaming, social media and Billboard Boxscore data.

On the 2018 year-end Hot 100 Songs roundup, Drake rules with “God’s Plan,” which spent 11 weeks leading the weekly Hot 100 tally. It was the first of three Hot 100 chart-toppers, thus far, from his Scorpion album. Drake followed “God’s Plan” with the No. 1s “Nice for What” and “In My Feelings,” spending a combined 29 weeks at No. 1 -- breaking the record for the most weeks atop the list by an artist in a year.

Drake Leaves Cash Money

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) A few months ago, Drake hinted in an Instagram post that he had signed to the UK grime label Boy Better Know, run by Skepta. And now it seems Skepta has pretty much confirmed this. Drake‘s done with all that Cash Money. Even though he’s been hurt and claiming he ain’t making any new friend, his latest friend, Skepta – who just released an album – seems to be having an impact on his life and career.

“We’re putting together an official worldwide BBK label, but we haven’t talked about how it’ll work yet,” Skepta told TimeOut. “It’ll be separate to his existing contracts. Trust me, I am not gonna sue Lil Wayne.”

Could Drake’s record-breaking new release bring him that much closer to leaving Cash Money? It's certainly a possibility. According to Hip-Hop DX. Lil’ Wayne claims that Nicki Minaj and Drake are getting the same ill treatment that he got when he was at Cash Money and they may be jumping ship.

Did Lil Wayne Betray His Young Money Crew?

It was recently reported that Lil Wayne sold his masters to Universal Music Group for $100 million back in June of this year. After documents of the deal were revealed, the sale reportedly included the master of Young Money artists as well. The three prominent artists on that list are Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Tyga. Given all of the work and culture shifts that the four artists have created, $100 million seems pretty cheap for ownership of their sound recorded copyrights.

This news led fans to speculate which albums were sold within the deal. According to the documents, the masters include every Drake album aside from his 2020 releases. Every 2020 release from the OVO CEO is under his OVO imprint in conjunction with Republic Records. Republic is also a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. Every project from 2009’s So Far Gone to 2018’s Scorpion is reportedly included in Wayne’s Universal deal. On the other hand, all of Nicki Minaj’s albums have fallen under the Young Money/Cash Money imprint since her debut release, Pink Friday.

Drake Gets New Lil Wayne Tattoo

Drake is throwing his full support behind Lil Wayne and wants the world to know it. The Canadian rapper recently inked Weezy's face on his left tricep. Wayne is currently locked in a bitter legal battle with Birdman. He filed a $51 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against the Cash Money Records co-owner back in January of 2015.

The situation is an uncomfortable one for Drake, because he is signed to Wayne's Young Money Records imprint, which is a subsidiary of Cash Money. Meaning, he essentially has two bosses. Drake's new tattoo would seem to indicate whose corner he's in.

Birdman Facing Another Lawsuit

Cash Money is involved in another lawsuit involving one of their artists not being paid. This time around the artist involved is Drake, as Page Six claims that Birdman's label has been keeping royalties from Drake's music.

Before signing with Cash Money, Drake was signed to Jas Prince's Aspire Music Group, who is currently involved in a lawsuit with Birdman's label over an agreement to get one-third of Drake's earnings. The amount Aspire is owed is unclear, but they claim that Cash Money is "hoarding" money and not divulging their earnings.

Drake Sends Lil Wayne A Message

Lil Wayne celebrated his 34th birthday on Tuesday [September 27], and as might be expected for one of the most celebrated artists in music, he received a lot of birthday love, with everyone from his ex-wife, Toya Wright, to estranged mentor Birdman honoring him on social media. He also received a deep shout out from Young Money titan Drake, who gave the legendary New Orleans rapper credit for helping spawn his career.

“Everything I got is because of God and you,” Drake wrote via Instagram. “Happy birthday to my brother. Thanks for believing in all of us when you didn’t have to. YM we still alive Free C5.”

Fans might note that Drake closed his message by calling for the release of Tha Carter V. The world might not have to wait too much longer before Cash Money Records puts the long awaited album out, as a recent court ruling got the ball rolling in the direction of resolving Wayne and Birdman's bitter legal dispute. The Cash Money mogul was given a month to hand over a full record detailing how the $70 million Wayne was promised a share of was spent after a judge determined that the 22,000 pages of documents previously released were insufficient. While the judgement proved to be a set-back for Birdman, it didn't keep him from wishing Wayne a happy birthday, as he went about flooding his Instagram page with blessings for the man he's long referred to as his son.
