Ford To Cut Jobs Worldwide

Ford Motor is making plans to cut about 10% of its global staff, which could mean about 20,000 jobs worldwide. Ford reportedly plans to shrink its salaried workforce in North America and Asia by about 10 percent as it works to boost profits and its sliding stock price. Ford is going to cut 10% of its workforce, focusing on salaried individuals. This is painful but is exactly the right thing to do as sales and margins are coming.

New 2017 Lincoln Continental

+Lincoln Continentals has always been my favorite of cars. Nothing beats a +Lincoln Continental. Hope you enjoyed this review on the 2017 Lincoln Continental!!! -The price of this car is $67000. Lincoln went cold turkey on Continental. But with the new 2017 Lincoln Continental, the automaker is signaling it is taking the luxury game by surprise.
Lincoln believes there is a portion of the luxury sedan segment that is not planning to lap die Nordschleife in under seven minutes.

New 2017 Land Rover Discovery

Land Rover has released just two images of the new Discovery – one, above, showing it with its predecessors, and one on its own (below) – but they both show just a head-on view so plenty of scope for LR to tease a little more between now and the new Disco’s reveal on 28.

But it doesn’t take a Land Rover anorak to have a pretty good idea of what’s coming; a grown-up version of the Discovery Sport (and looking very like the Discovery Vision Concept) with a few hints from its lineage (like an off-set number plate and stepped tailgate at the back), offering seven proper seats and challenging the appeal the new Volvo Xc90 has so justifiably garnered.

New 2017 Cadillac XT5

It's rumored that the 2017 Cadillac XT5 will replace the SRX. The new 2017 Cadillac XT5 combines a large interior with a pleasing ride, plentiful outward visibility and a striking design. If you're shopping in the competitive compact luxury SUV segment, the XT5 is worth a look. The replacement for Cadillac's best-selling model has a different name, but the sharply styled 2017 XT5 delivers better fuel economy, more cargo and passenger space.

Say Hello To Elio

By using a combination of lightweight materials and a unique aerodynamic body style, the three- wheeled vehicle will weigh slightly more than 1,200 pounds, roughly half of the average 2,400 pound vehicle today. Front-to-back two-person seating is the secret to the company’s high fuel efficiency along with being half the width of traditional passenger cars.

Elio is engineered to meet the highest safety standards with a Safety Management System including three airbags, a reinforced roll-cage frame, Anti-Lock Braking System, and 50 percent larger crush zones than similar vehicles.

A low-cost vehicle doesn’t come from one single solution. Significant cost savings are only possible when a variety of engineering and business decisions, both big and small, drive the process.

New Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) Unveiled at an event in North London, the vehicle has been hailed as the first "purely visionary" concept in the brand's 112-year history. The car's body almost completely wraps around the wheels, making it look like its sitting just a few inches off the ground, while sporting a curved roofline and sloping rear end.

As far as features, the Vision Next 100 has laser headlights, a darkened glass canopy and a Spirit of Ecstasy bonnet ornament made of handcrafted glass. Inside, there's Macassar wood paneling, OLED screens, and a "floating" sofa that sits on a hand-woven ivory wool carpet.

New Bentley Continental GT

(The Wrap-Up Magazine) Bentley has taken the wraps off of its latest take on the Continental GT Speed. Boasting a bevy of improvements over its predecessor, the new design once again employs a biturbo 6.0-liter W12 engine, but one that’s now capable of 642 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. Bentley is set to deliver the 2016 editions of the Continental GT Speed later this summer.

Coupled with optimized boost control, the setup can now propel the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds before ultimately topping out at 206 mph — meaning it’s ever so slightly faster than the 2015 model. 2016′s rendition will also see the release of an accompanying “Black” edition that features everything from glossy black accents and matching 21-inch wheels to a carbon fiber-covered cabin, contrasting leather, diamond quilted door panels and Mulliner GT Design seats.

New Rolls-Royce Wraith

The vehicle was inspired by the film And the World Stood Still, a dramatic short film created to coincide with the launch of the original model. The film was recently accepted into the British Film Institute National Archives and to celebrate, the English car manufacturer created a slightly film noir version of their most powerful vehicle to date.

References to the genre are seen through a unique two-tone Silver and Jubilee Silver paint scheme, while a solid-silver hand-cast Spirit of Ecstasy acts as the femme fatale to the leading man. Opening the doors, the interior is more colorful than the exterior suggests. Performance aspects include a shorter wheelbase, wider rear track and 624 bhp/465 kW derived from the twin turbo V12. Drivers will be going from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds.

The Solar Charging Point

There is a new invention that going to make some big bucks. Point.One S, as it is called, has been installed at BMW Welt in Munich as a showcase for what might be possible in future. This hyper-modern canopy is gently curved in the style of a bird’s wing, and features an array of solar panels on its roof that not only charge the car, but will feed power back into the national grid when there’s no vehicle present.

While we’re obviously a long way off from seeing this kind of structure built on regular street corners around the world, it’s yet another example of how great aesthetic styling can work hand-in-hand with progressive, eco-friendly technology for a better – and better looking – future.
