Jay-Z's Team Roc and the NFL debuted a public service announcement that honors the life of Hadiya Pendleton, a young girl who was fatally shot in Chicago in 2013.

Hadiya Pendleton's family has continued to keep her legacy alive. The Chicago teen is the subject of Team Roc's latest PSA about putting an end to gun violence.

Pendleton is one of many stories of kids being killed by gun violence from all over the world. Pendleton was gunned down as she was spending time with friends at the city's Harsh Park.

The video titled "Hadiya's Promise" is narrated by her mother Cleopatra Cowley-Pendleton, who shared her daughter's hopes and dreams as well as her own efforts at social justice in her young years.

At $92 million, including salary and endorsements, James is the NBA’s highest-paid player for the sixth straight year. It is a record haul for an active basketball player. Nike is his biggest backer, and the company is naming a new research lab at its Beaverton, Oregon, corporate campus after James.

The four-time NBA MVP added a pair of endorsement deals in 2019 with Rimowa luggage and Walmart, which joined Coca-Cola, Beats By Dre, Blaze Pizza and NBA 2K in his sponsorship stable. He also has a budding digital media company, Uninterrupted, and a production firm, SpringHill Entertainment, which will release a sequel to the 1996 Michael Jordan vehicle Space Jam in conjunction with Warner Bros. in 2021. All of the off-court work is worth an estimated $55 million for James this season.

Stephen Curry comes in at No. 2 on the earnings list this year and is expected to generate $85 million this season, including $45 million off the court. Under Armour represents nearly half of his off-court income.

Curry’s $40.2 million salary from the Golden State Warriors is the highest in the history of the NBA; he’s in the third season of the five-year, $201 million contract he signed in 2017. Curry’s production company, Unanimous Media, has a development deal with Sony Pictures. Unanimous’ first movie, Breakthrough, was released in April, with Curry playing a role in marketing the Christian-oriented film, which grossed $50 million on a $14 million budget.

Durant has the NBA’s second-biggest annual shoe contract after James’ at an estimated $26 million this season. His total earnings from his playing salary and endorsements is $73 million. Nike sells more KD shoes in China than in North America, according to Durant’s business partner Rich Kleiman.

Like James and Curry, Durant has his own production company, which is co-producing a new basketball-themed drama, Swagger, that is inspired by Durant’s youth basketball experience and will air on the Apple TV+ streaming service.

Germany Announce Women's World Cup Squad

Germany coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg announced her 23-woman squad for the Women's World Cup in France.

"We had intense discussions and there were some tough decisions in the end, because we have a high-quality team," said Voss-Tecklenburg, 51, who took the reins in January.

LeBron James Makes Big Come Back vs Miami Heat

LeBron James stepped onto the floor at American Airlines Arena and put on a show. The four-time NBA MVP won his first two championships with the Miami back in 2012 and 2013 after forming the big three with him, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Those baskets seemed so familiar to James because he could not miss. He scored 28 of his 51 points in the first half of play and kept his foot on the gas for the entire ball game.

The Lakers have won 5 of their last 6 games. Prior to Saturday’s road loss to the Magic, the Lakers were on a four-game winning streak. On Wednesday James will make his return back home to Cleveland. It will be Lebron’s first game back since joining the Lakers this summer, one of two meetings between the teams. The Cavs will play the Lakers in LA on Christmas Day as well.

James embraced a number of people with hugs before the game began. “We had some not so good times, we had more great times, so it’s always a respect factor and a love for the people in Miami and especially the people who work here.” James tallied 48 points heading into the final 20 seconds. Floyd Mayweather Announces Rematch With Manny Pacquiao

Mayweather took to Instagram on Saturday morning to post a video in which he says he is coming out of retirement to fight in December. His potential opponent? Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather made about $220 million from his May 2015 fight with Pacquiao and at the time posted a photo of a $100 million check — his guaranteed purse from the bout. The fight itself failed to reach many fans expectation and hopes as Mayweather toyed with Pacquiao for much of the fight.

Saturday’s Instagram posting includes a video of Mayweather and Pacquiao talking to each other at a music festival in Tokyo, although it is difficult to hear what the men are saying.

In another angle of the interaction, Pacquiao tells Mayweather, “I have the belt,” to which Mayweather responds, “I’m going to take it from you like I did before.”

Mayweather and Pacquiao fought back in May 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a bout Money won by unanimous decision. And speaking of money, that showdown brought in approximately $500 million in revenue.

Odell Beckham Jr. recently agreed to a five-year extension with the New York Giants for a whopping $95 million. According to reports, this makes him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.

Beckham’s deal is broken down in a $95 million maximum over the period of the deal, with a guaranteed $65 million. Because of that, Beckham is now under contract with the Giants until 2023.

LeBron James Becomes A Free Agent

LeBron James has alerted the Cleveland Cavaliers that he will opt out of the final year of his contract with the team and headline the 2019 list of NBA Free Agents. In doing so King James will leave $35.6 million on the table for the 2018-19 season.

ESPN reports the opt-out does not signify that LeBron’s time is over in Cleveland, however, it does provide a greater opportunity for the Los Angeles Lakers to acquire one of the greatest to touch a basketball. It has been oft-rumored throughout the course of the NBA Season that James has eyed a transition to Hollywood but his hometown team is able to offer the most money at five-year, $207.4 million. Other teams that have a chance between the Cavs and the LakeShow include the Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers.

Many believe the Lakers are planning a complete overhaul of their roster from last year and are looking to trade for San Antonio Spurs superstar Kawhi Leonard to pair with LeBron. It is believed that his presence on the roster would “clinch” signing the Cavs star. Also lingering in free agency is Paul George, who opted out of the last year of his deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder to explore his free agency options. It’s rumored the Lakers wish to add him to Leonard and James for a new big three.
