Bay Area, California emcee J.Lately presents his new single "By My Lonely" featuring Locksmith, a fellow Bay Area emcee who has collaborated with 9th Wonder, Ski Beatz, and recently released No Question, his collaboration project with Apollo Brown. Produced by Chase Moore, who has collaborated with Slug of Atmosphere, Royce Da 5'9 and Smoke DZA.
"By My Lonely" comes on the heels of J.Lately's music video for "Papayas & Blunt Smoke", a track from his album Be Fucking Happy.
"This song to me is about capturing that feeling of isolation and independence that I think has been more and more present in our society," J. says. "It's weird to me because the more we all become 'connected' through social media and the internet, ironically I think it almost makes us all feel a little more isolated and on our own at times."
