The charge against Nieman Marcus cousin Markquis Hall is a first degree felony and he will have a preliminary hearing on October 8th. Believe it or not his bail was set at $500,000. Hall's criminal history was referenced in court today when his bail was set. Hall has had previous criminal charges from 2013, 2012 and 2007. Hall nor his attorney, Bill Kluge, negotiated or argued for a lower bail.
Statements in court today claim Hall and Ja'taven Dukes broke into the residence with a firearm, and Hall assaulted a pregnant woman, then fled the scene before police arrived. At some point the men returned and were later shot at the home. Dukes died of his gunshot wound at the scene and Hall was treated at St. Rita's Medical Center.
