Lloyd - “Excited” #MusicVideo
Lloyd |
“Having an all around good time to music is a family pastime. Whether we were driving to New Orleans for the summer, hanging out with friends at the skating rink, at the park for a bbq, or out on a date, there was one common denominator. Music. It was the soundtrack to some of my life’s most memorable moments. My hope is that ‘Excited,’ a song inspired by my love for skating, dancing, and live music, will be played during those same memorable moments in the lives of others. So Tie up your skates real tight, grab a partner, and get off the wall!”
Plies Arrested
Sources told the celebrity news outlet that Plies simply grabbed the wrong bag, and is in fact a registered gun owner. He was reportedly held in custody at Tampa International while waiting to be transferred to Hillsborough County Jail.
If convicted, Plies could face up to five years in prison for the charge. He was previously arrested in Florida last January for allegedly driving under the influence but negotiated a plea deal that reduced the charge to reckless driving.
US Senate Passes New Music Act
Among the proposed changes, the legislation codifies producers and engineers as copyright holders, meaning both would receive digital royalties when songs are played on streaming services. Currently, producers are not included in copyright law and must negotiate their own payment deals.
For hip-hop producers, especially, the current setup often results in a flat-rate purchase fee, leaving the producer without any claim to future streaming revenue. When producers do negotiate royalty deals, they're typically taking a cut from the performer's own royalties.
The Music Modernization Act also creates a new music licensing organization, run by publishers and songwriters, that will identify a song's copyright holders and manage royalty payouts. That work is currently handled by digital platforms themselves, who have frequently been sued over unpaid royalties. The bill also extends copyright protections for pre-1972 recordings.

100 Pounds Of Marijuana Found
The Flagler Beach Police Department said that about 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, citizens reported finding a large package that had washed ashore in the area of 6th North Street and North Oceanshore Boulevard. When officers opened the package, they found it contained six smaller 12-inch by 12-inch packages stuffed with marijuana.
Hours later, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said a beachgoer in the area of North Ocean Shore Boulevard found four circular bundles and 13 brick-style packages of narcotics and called authorities.
It’s unclear if the two incidents were related, but the U.S. Coast Guard was contacted to investigate both cases. Officials from the Coast Guard told deputies that similar packages have washed ashore from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach and they are trying to determine from where the narcotics originated.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said the department has collected about 100 pounds on marijuana from beaches just on Wednesday alone.
On Thursday, he said even more marijuana washed up, this time on the beach in Jungle Hut Park. Before deputies arrived, beachgoers were arguing over whether to keep the drugs or turn them into law enforcement.
