Adrien Robinson Busted With 25 Pounds Of Marijuana

Adrien Robinson
A former tight end who once played for the New York Giants had his hopes of reentering the NFL dashed after getting caught with 25 pounds of weed in his car earlier this week.

Adrien Robinson, 28, was arrested Monday (July 31) and charged with felony marijuana possession after being stopped on Interstate 80 in Pennslyvania by state police, though it's unclear why he was initially pulled over.

After searching his 2016 Chevy Impala, officers found "numerous bags of marijuana" along with a grinder, digital scale, vacuum sealer bags and vacuum sealer. The non-weed items earned him a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge on top of his drug felony.

Robinson, who told police he was a former NFL player looking to make a team this year, was able to walk free after posting a $1,500 bond.

The former Cincinnati Bearcat was drafted by the Giants in 2012 and cut in 2015 after catching for 50 yards and one touchdown. He then spent part of 2016 on the reserve team of the NY Jets before being released.
