A young brother and sister were taken at gunpoint from their Indiana home early Monday, launching an Amber Alert that has since stretched north across state lines. Police say Aaron Blackwell, 16, and his sister, Emma Blackwell, 13, are in “extreme danger” after being forced out of their Indianapolis home around 3 a.m.
A 911 call from their home reported them being taken by three men who forced them into a black Cadillac Escalade and a black Dodge Charger. Both were wearing only their night clothes when it happened — Emma’s described as pink and white pajamas and Aaron in a black bathrobe.
Indianapolis Metro Police told the paper that a person of interest has been detained in Detroit while a second, close relative of the teens has been detained back in their home city. A desperate search for the two teens has since spread to Michigan where police believe they may be heading to the Detroit area, the Indy Star reported.
