Hateful Song For Micheal Brown Video

Why would someone make a song like this? A despicable song celebrating the death of slain Ferguson teen Mike Brown was sung at a golf charity event in Glendale, CA, TMZ reports. Thrown at the Elks Lodge by retired LAPD officer Joe Myers, the event was attended by fellow cops, who made up a majority of the crowd, as well as civilians. During the event, Gary Fishell, a former federal investigator, performed the song for the audience.

A parody version of “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” by Jim Croce, Fishell tweaked the lyrics to include overtly offensive references to Brown, including that he “looked like some old Swiss cheese,” and “his brain was splattered on the floor” after being gunned down by Darren Wilson. An offended guest captured the video as the song was performed.

Fishell now claims he realizes that the song was "off color and in poor taste,” while his lawyer said "He thought the room would get a kick out of it." Myers took no responsibility for the song’s content, but made a notion that Fishell was free to sing what he wants.
