A Lima, Ohio man is suing a Lima police officer who accidentally shot him while shooting at dogs. Ronald Keller filed the lawsuit Tuesday in the Allen County Common Pleas court for $25,000. The lawsuit names officer Frank Vaccaro as the only defendant.
The officer was responding to a pursuit to capture two pit bulls that the dog warden was unsuccessful at. Report says that the officer pulled out his rifle and fired on the dogs which caused Keller to get struck in the right hand.
